Katelyn's Baby Blessing

I am a little behind in the blogging world.  A few weeks ago we went to Lehi, Ut to visit my brother, Jason, and they blessed their little girl, Katelyn.  She is four months old and is a such a doll.  Jason and Rachel both say she is so quiet and easy going.  I don't think I heard her cry once while we were there.  She smiles a lot.  My brother says she is completely different than their first daughter, Grace.  It was fun to spend the day with them.

Tyler reading Harry Potter for the third time.  Any suggestions for a good book would be appreciated.  He has to read so many pages for his English class and doesn't know what to read, so he picks the Potter series again.  Allen and Kaylynn are missing from the pictures because they went to see Allen's brother, Doug, in North Dakota.  Doug was called to the High Counsil and Allen's dad drove out to ordain him.  Allen and Kaylynn wanted to go along for support.  It was a 15 hour drive, but they had a good time.  I was glad to have them back home. 

Rock the Halls!

Ashley and Kaylynn earned enough AR points to "Rock the Halls" on Friday, March 2.  All students that have earned the number needed for their grade get to run through the halls of the school, led by the principle.  Reading has always been a little difficult for Ashley, so it was a great achievement for her to do this.  She was even more excited because several of her very good friends ran with her.  Kaylynn is a book worm and she only had to earn 30 points, to the 70 points Ashley needed.  As you can see by their faces, they were very happy.  We are proud of both of them and glad that we could go and support them.

Ashley's female classmates that ran with her:  Cali-leigh, Sierra Cellan, Kindee, Ashley, Becky Krusi, Jerica Blotter and Mr. Sheffer.  Both he and his wife rocked the halls also. Yes, they are all wearing pajamas.  Ashley's class has earned over 3000 AR points so they earned a read-a-thon party.  They took snacks and wore their pajamas. 

Kaylynn went back to her class room before we could get a picture of her.  By the time we got to her she was already involved with her school work. 

It was such a sunny day, the kids and I decided to walk to school.  We had a snow storm the night before, so some sidewalks were not shoveled.  Alyssa had a great time walking through the snow and throwing snowballs at me!  Joslynn really wanted to get out of the stroller and I finally let her when we were closer to home.
