I love Easter! It means spring is coming - warm weather, beautiful buds on trees and flowers popping out of the ground. I am thankful for the miracle of the resurrection of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He lives and I will see Him again oneday. Through Him I will be resurrected and live with my family forever. I can only imagine how sad Mary must have been to find the tomb empty, not knowing where Christ was. How glorious to have Him appear to her and call her name. Christ does know us personally.
It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day here in Smithfield. We were able to walk to church and enjoy the sunshine. We had dinner with Allen's sister and family and Grandpa Dawes. Tyler, Ashley and Kaylynn REALLY miss their older cousins that moved to North Dakota. They told me get togethers aren't as fun anymore.
Tyler had already left for church by the time I was ready for pictures. Josylynn cracks me up. Ashley tried to put her arm around Joslynn, but she would have none of that. She was insistant to have all hands off. (Stubburn)!!
Friday we spent the morning coloring Easter eggs. Of course I had this wonderful plan in my head that everyone would be happy, we would laugh and all get along. Family time = sacred time, so this would be great. Oh how wrong I was. Someone took the color he/she wanted, the stickers wouldn't stick, so-n-so was doing to many eggs. Joslynn was not cooperating and getting everyone frustrated. (She wanted to drink the dye). She had spilled two glasses of dye and in the process it was running off the table and got Ashley's clothes wet. (That in itself is a disaster). Everyone agreed we would do it again next year, during nap time.
Saturday morning we took the girls to Mack Park for the Easter egg hunt. They won coupons for free ice cream cones. One sponsor was giving out $2 bills, so all the girls received one. Tyler was at his aunt's house, so he missed the egg hunt. He went to the one in Preston and scored good up there.
Allen's sister and family and his Dad came for dinner saturday night. We had a egg hunt in the back yard for the kids. Joslynn found an egg, ate the candy and then would search for more eggs. She loves her sugar!

The easter bunny finally found our house late Sunday afternoon. He opted to bring gifts instead of candy this year. Tyler was so excited to get a Jimmer Fredette card and Jimmer DVD. He was one happy boy. I sure love him.
