The temple was BEAUTIFUL!! Of course that was no surprise, because every temple is. We enjoyed going through and I think Joslynn's favorite part was playing in the water fountain outside. Grandpa Dawes came with us, sure miss Beverly at times like this. I am grateful for the ordinances that bind families together forever and look forward to seeing her in the next life.

Labor Day Activites
Labor Day was a beautiful day. We went to Merlin Olsen Park with Natalie and her family and played in the water, had a bar-b-que and had zucchini boat races.
Allen cooked up hamburgers and hot dogs.
Nathan and Wesley
We had a little scary incident prior to going to the park for the festivities. I made salsa in the morning and was in the process of canning it. I use the camp chef outside and had both burners going and went inside to clean up. After awile, Kaylynn opened the door to go outside and yelled "FIRE". My initial thought was "oh good - the water is boiling and spilling over". I went to the door and sure enought - there was a true fire - burning the support post of the carport!! My brother, Dennis, hurried and turned off the propane, as we got water to put out the fire. We feel very fortunate that the propane tank did not explode with a flame at the end of the tubing. We feel Heavenly Father truely watched over us that day and a tender mercy occured. We are grateful Kaylynn went outside when she did. Luckily we had another connection and I was able to finish processing the salsa!
September Birthdays
I can't believe how old my kids are getting, which means I'm getting older. Ashley turned 11 on September 5th. She is a joy to have around. I use to struggle with her, but she has sure turned out to be very pleasant and helpful. She is playing the violin, likes volleyball, basketball and most days likes to play with her sisters. She requested poppy seed bread for breakfast with yogurt and fruit and we took her to Bluebird Resturant for her birthday dinner. She requested an ice cream cake again this year.
Tyler turned 15 on September 19th. He is so tall, 6 feet and also very pleasant to be around, most of the time. Friends are very important and luckily we like all his friends and are pleased with his choices. Tyler wanted pancakes for breakfast, sweet and sour chicken for dinner. He really wanted cinnamon rolls for breakfast, but I didn't have time to make them, so I had them ready for a snack after school. He brought a friend home to share them with. Tyler plays the clarinet, loves basketball and has a game every Wednesday for the next 6 weeks. He is a basketball ref for the first and second grade rec team. He requested a new set of scriptures for his birthday.

First Day of School
School has started. The kids attend Summit Elementary. Kaylynn is in 3rd grade with Mrs. Moore. Ashley is in 5th with Mr. Pugmire.
Alyssa has started afternoon Kindergarten with Mrs. Richardson. I really like having her in the afternoon. We are together and get things done in the morning and then she isn't bored in the afternoon. I love her teacher.
Our mode of transportation to school during the nice weather.
Tyler is in ninth grade at North Cache.
